El Tokte Health Food Store and Salad Bar – Cuenca, Ecuador
Though small, El Tokte has some nifty goodies. Nearly all of their products are organic and locally-sourced in addition to being items that cater to the vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free communities.
El Tokte also offers a make-your-own salad bar from 12:30-2:30 on weekdays. Some of the particularly unique offerings at this store include their wholly organic treats, essential oils, and organic, locally sourced apple cider vinegar, yogurt, and coconut oil. In addition, the store sells products from the brand Pacari, which is popular because of its commitment to the environment and producing high quality organic foods.
This little store is definitely worth a visit if you’re visiting Cuenca or thinking about moving to the city!
