Cinnamon Mango-Banana Smoothie

Mango-banana smoothies are super easy to make and taste amazing. Seriously. They’re the perfect “long day” dessert because they take so little time and they’re healthy. I try to always have some bananas and mangoes on hand for those days when I just don’t have the energy to make anything more spectacular (or for when I run out of ingredients to make anything else).

My family and I have been working on building a house here in Mexico, so we’ve been working long long days where we often sit down at 10 at night to eat dinner. So, I’ve needed to rely a few times on my old friend the mango-banana smoothie. But, you can only have so much of one smoothie recipe, so I put a twist on my favorite smoothie recipe and added some cinnamon to spice it up (hahahahaha).

Smoothies are an amazing way to get in some extra nutrients at the end of the day. Adding spices (like cinnamon) can boost the health benefits of a smoothie, and adding some flaxseeds or coconut can boost them even more! Plus, these smoothie recipe additions make the smoothie pretty (which is always good, of course). A banana smoothie recipe is coming, but for now I present to you a mango-banana smoothie recipe because I love mangoes (and bananas)!

Cinnamon Banana-Mango Smoothie

Yield: 3 Servings

Cinnamon Banana-Mango Smoothie

  • 5 Bananas, Ripe (I personally like to use bananas that are "spotty")
  • 1 Large Mango
  • 2 -3 Cups Non-Dairy Milk (more for a thinner smoothie, more for a thicker one)
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon Powder + 1/2 Tsp for Dusting
  • 1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and combine until smooth. Serve immediately for optimum nutritional quality.
  2. If desired, top each serving with a bit of cinnamon to add color and extra spice to the smoothie.
